Ardonagh gives back £115,000 for 75 charities on fourth annual Go Green Day

Each year, colleagues across The Ardonagh Group come together for ‘Go Green Day’ to fundraise for our registered charity – Ardonagh Community Trust (ACT) and its mission to help communities become better, brighter and stronger.

Throughout 2020, ACT has been committed to increasing its support of local causes and charities who are facing additional challenges as a result of the pandemic, and so the 2020 event was held on Friday 25 September with a new twist.

Hailed as ‘The Give Back Edition’, this year Ardonagh’s network of offices across the UK and Ireland came together to fundraise for different small, community-focused charities in their local area and ACT matched their efforts.

Thanks to the generosity and passion of the people of Ardonagh, ACT is thrilled to announce that the grant total raised, including match funding, is £115,000, making 2020 the most impressive year of fundraising yet.

This means 75 amazing charities as chosen by our people, will benefit from financial support at a time when fundraising is harder than ever.

As always, this incredible sum was raised thanks to the creativity of our people who this year thought outside the box in light of social distancing measures; activities included online quizzes, virtual walks and runs covering over 15,000km, at-home costumes, photography competitions, virtual escape rooms and even home-delivered afternoon teas.

Radio Ardonagh was also back, broadcasting live across the Group providing a soundtrack to the day, opportunities for colleagues to win more donations for their chosen causes, and most importantly, bringing teams together while everyone is working apart.

The 2020 grand total follows over £220,000 raised across the previous three events, which has gone directly towards supporting charities and communities that matter to our people.
