Giving Back to reach our goal for Médecins Sans Frontières

Last week, we united across The Ardonagh Group for our annual charity day, Give Back.

Give Back never fails to encapsulate to power of rallying together to make a difference and team spirit was at a high this year as together we set ourselves the goal of reaching the ambitious target of £250,000 for our global charity partner, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Colleagues across Ardonagh picked up the baton to take part in our Miles for MSF challenge, with ACT donating £5 per mile completed, and many more went a step further by raising additional funds for MSF too – with ACT boosting totals – plus, Radio Ardonagh was live from MSF’s HQ in London broadcasting over the airwaves.

Thanks to the incredible spirit of our people, a spectacular 10,000 miles were completed. The equivalent of around 22 million steps and the distance from London to Ayres Rock in Australia! A fitting achievement for a global Group and a cause that provides lifesaving care to communities across the world – no matter where and no matter what.

As a result, we have reached our £250,000 target, all of which will go towards MSF’s programmes in 75+ countries. Translating this figure into impact, this sum would enable…

We like a milestone moment at Ardonagh, and 2025's Give Back total means that we have now reached a monumental £1 million raised since our first ever Give Back, alongside the inception of ACT and Ardonagh itself, back in 2017.

Thank you to everyone for never giving up and always giving back. Take a watch of our showcase video to relive the day!

Across the Group this Give Back

Give Back 2025 proved to be quite the spectacle with colleagues sharing their photos showcasing how they took part in the day, particularly in our Miles for MSF challenge. Here’s just some highlights from around the Group…

Despite being a predominantly home-based team, Everywhen’s COO got together over the weekend to take part in each their local Park Run events. Combined, the clocked up 117 miles running apart, but also together, across the UK.

Sunshine was abundant in Greece where SRS Group went on a city walking tour in the centre of Athens full of energy, smiles, and team spirit.

Less sunshine and more custard pies were the order of the day in South West England where RiskSTOP Group put on a heroic effort to raise funds for MSF. Featuring inflatable costumes, office Olympics, and even a few whipped cream pies in the face of brave team leaders! On top of this, collectively they covered 1,071 miles for the Miles for MSF challenge.

Top team mileage has to go to Arachas, where across their offices colleagues reached an incredible 4,875,192 steps equating to 2,437 miles (give or take!). This amazing feat was spurred on with breakfast mornings at various offices to help colleagues keep fuelled up for their miles.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Everywhen CEO Rob Worrell got on the treadmill for an early morning half marathon to raise funds for MSF. In full Give Back attire, Rob completed 13.5 miles to add to the tally.

The "Specialty Showdown" was in full swing over the week in London with their Hub at the Minster Building turned into a dedicated mile zone, with rowers, bikes and more for colleagues to hop on and add to the total. Some friendly competition was also in order, with prizes on offer for whoever maxed their miles – well done to Martin Davey.

In Switzerland and Austria, Assepro colleagues made a fantastic effort. Médecins Sans Frontières translates to ‘Doctors Without Borders’ and Gökhan Coban from the business took the global affair seriously, walking to work and back across not one, not two, but three countries. On his way to work Gökhan started off in his hometown in Germany, then crossed over to France, before heading along the Rhine to Basel, Switzerland.

One of the newest arrivals to Ardonagh, GLI in France went headfirst into Give Back with 47 colleagues joining together in the autumn sunshine to collect some miles.

Lastly, over to Portugal to end with a finale thanks to The Apolice, the homegrown band of MDS Group, who put on a fantastic show to raise funds for MSF through the power of music.

It’s impossible to mention each and every contribution to Give Back, but we’ve tried our best to create a montage the captures the spirit of the day.

Give Back might be over, but ACT is here year-round

ACT is here 365 days a year to support all our Ardonagh colleagues around the world to give back to the causes special to them.

Through ACT’s community grant programme, match funding and volunteering we offer the opportunity for all Ardonagh employees to get behind the charities close to their hearts.
