Many congratulations to the Ride4Life team on their incredible 112km ride around Cascais as they took the annual charity event on tour in collaboration with our colleagues at MDS Group in Portugal.
Since its inception in 2016, Ride4Life has raised over £80,000 for incredible causes and this year was no different.
The 11-strong Lycra-clad team put power to pedals, all to raise funds for newly established Portuguese charity, MovSaúde, whose mission is to improve treatment for digestive and colorectal cancers and support for those affected.
With the 2024 team comprised of Ardonagh colleagues from Ardonagh businesses across the UK, Arachas in Ireland and MDS Group in Portugal, the international team raised over £10,000 thanks to the generosity of supporters and ACT.
The team had a drizzly start as they set off from Monumento aos Descobrimentos Portugueses just before 9am on Saturday, however the sunshine eventually won out as they made their way to their first checkpoint at Azenhas do Mar.
Taking in beautiful scenery has become a bit of a tradition for the team and this year was certainly something to behold. As the peloton made their way north to Ribamar.
They also took an unplanned pitstop in Mafra, and with a picture like this as the result, who can blame them!
From there, it was on to the final checkpoint and most importantly lunch for the team, before they made their way back out on the road again for the final leg of the journey back to Cascais.
Finally, after 113km in the saddle, the team were welcomed back where they started by MDS colleagues who have been an incredible support for the event this year.

Well done to the team and a huge thank you to all at MDS who made the day such a success!
