A team of colleagues from Price Forbes and across Ardonagh Specialty took on the Three Peaks Challenge from 24 to 25 July, scaling the highest summits in Scotland, England and Wales in support of their charity of the year, The Noah Jordan Foundation.
Over the course of just 24-hours, the ‘Peaks for a Purpose’ team put their hiking boots (and knees) to the test to climb Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and lastly Snowdon/ Yr Wyddfa in North Wales.
Combatting the elements, a total of 23 miles, 3,064m ascent and very little sleep on the minibus, their efforts and immense team spirit led to a total of over £20,000 for The Noah Jordan Foundation, and which was taken even higher to £30,000 thanks to a match fund donation from ACT.
Here's just some highlights from the epic adventure.
Selected as Price Forbes’ 2026 charity partner, The Noah Jordan Foundation funds research into treatments for rare paediatric mitochondrial diseases (rare inherited genetic disorders which effect specialised structures inside cells which generate energy), and which currently have no cure.
Ben Jordan founder of The Noah Jordan Foundation, and whose son Noah lies at the heart of the charity, shared his gratitude:
Over 2026, Price Forbes aims to raise a total of £100,000 for the charity to fund a full PhD placement into medical research connected to the specific type of mitochondrial disease (POLG) which took Noah’s life when he was just nine months old.
This new research will be conducted at the Mitochondrial Research Group at Newcastle University, under the guidance of the charity’s medical advisors, Professor Robert McFarland and Dr Laura Smith.
All money raised by Price Forbes over the year will go on to enable vital research aimed at advancing understanding, developing treatments, and ultimately finding a cure for mitochondrial disease – helping children and their families in the UK and beyond.
